Several people mentioned virtual conferencing and chatting via
tappedin.org I recently joined the new TappedIn 2 version so I could
set up some district and state virtual meetings. This is a free place
to get together and I'd like to join other librarians there, but sometimes
we need a little help learning something new. One of the associate editors,
BJ Berquist, will give us a tour next week Tuesday during two time slots
one at 4:30pm CDT and one at 5:30 CDT.
Please consider doing this. First you need to be a member, so go to
http://ti2.sri.com/tappedin/index.jsp and join. (Free, no junk emails, etc.)
If they have a firewall, you may not be able to and will have to open ports
8000 and 80. if anyone has a membership in the old version of Tapped In
(TI1),
their username and password won't work in the new version (TI2) so they
need to join as a new member.
On Tuesday log in and BjB will meet everyone in Reception to do the tour.
