Editorial Review

Curl up with a good book and enjoy this traditional-yet-chic hotel's=20
serenity.

The Scene
Like most luxury boutique hotels, this one has an out-of-the-ordinary=20
theme reflected in its decor. Here, the Dewey Decimal System makes a=20
surprisingly stylish comeback, beginning in the hotel's lobby, which is=20=

wrapped in book-filled mahogany shelves and adorned with a=20
floor-to-ceiling faux library card catalog. And it doesn't stop there.=20=

Formerly a 12-story office building, this 60-room hotel also classifies=20=

floors and rooms by Dewey Decimal System categories, ranging from=20
Social Sciences and the Arts to Literature and Philosophy.

The Amenities
Themed guest rooms (i.e. Fairy Tales, Classics, Erotic Literature and=20
Astronomy) with framed art and a library of books; mahogany woodwork;=20
polished granite-topped desks; bottled spring water; children's=20
pull-out beds with Harry Potter or Madeline books, towels and sheets;=20
Belgian chocolates; plush bathrobes; multiple phone lines with=20
voicemail; data ports and high-speed Internet access.

At the hotel's second-floor Reading Room, guests enjoy continental=20
breakfast, cappuccino, teas and other refreshments throughout the day.=20=

Weekday evenings feature wine-and-cheese receptions.

A Rose Is a Rose ...
The Library Hotel also features a beautiful Poetry Garden with terrace=20=

and the Club House with working fireplace and its own terrace, located=20=

on the 14th floor.

Meet and Greet
You can hold your business meeting in an executive conference room with=20=

windows on the 15th floor; the room accommodates 12. There's also a=20
business center with computer stations.

Let the Movies Come to You
The hotel's complimentary video library comprises the American Film=20
Institute's top 100 films.
