Brewer. This new piece is my take on the feral flamingos of Sacramento's Capitol Park At nine pages, mostly illustrations, it is quick reading. However, the mixture of; fact and genuine source citations with the imaginary feral flamingos may provide an amusing challenge for some students. All of the photos, by the way, are genuine -- except for the first one in the document, showing the flamingos in a shallow pool next to a walkway; (The flamingos are real, too, and I also photographed them -- just not in that particular location, Caution: it is a pretty big file, upwards of a megabyte; I have included, for your convenience, a copyright notice at the end of the document that makes it easy for teachers to use the page for educational purposes; (I give explicit permission for that sort of use.
