About 18 years ago, when my wife worked worked as a receptionist at a large Midwest metropolitan hospital; she was in charge of the junior volunteers. These were junior high and high school age kids that ran errands for different departments of the hospital. One evening was unusually 'slow' and she decided to liven things up a bit. She had a couple of her female volunteers go up to the Pediatric wing on 2nd floor and ask the nurses for some fallopian tubing which was needed down in Pharmacy. Unfortunately the nurses were not amused, and my wife got 'written up'. Even so, the story has been told and retold with great amusement to all. It just shows that even medical people sometimes have a problem with sexual terms, words, and a little humor.
