I am trying to work with my faculty to add more reading across the curriculum. My physics teacher is interested and I need some help coming up with titles. He is interested in books that will help the students appreciate the importance of physics. So far we have thought of _In Search of Schrodinger's Cat_, and Dava Sobel's _Longitude_ and _Galileo's Daughter_. We're looking for about 10 more titles (preferably non-fiction, but I may be able to talk him into a couple of fiction choices) that would be readable by juniors and seniors and would not so much explain the science as mirror it, explain the contributor's reasoning, or show how that development has influenced today's reasoning. Specific topics the books could cover include Newton's examination of planetary motion, Kepler's observation of the planets, and Descartes' study of momentum. I would really appreciate your help on this as I think we need to get a lot more reading into our curriculum. Thanks, Kelley ----------------------------------------------------- Kelley S.
