One of our fourth grade students lost a sibling this school year. She
was an avid reader before the death of her sister, but now is afraid to
tackle new books for fear of encountering illness, death, divorce,
separation, or loss. She reads at an end of the year fourth grade level
or beginning fifth. We are looking for some suggestions for light, fun
summer reading as she is really ready to start reading again. I'll be
happy to post a hit. Thanks for your suggestions.
