Thanks to all who have responded to this thread. It has been interesting to see that we all share the same basic problems and have arrived at similar solutions. Our "problem" (which is very good to have) is that we get as many as 200 passes a day into our media center. We currently have the kids run their passes through a time clock and log in/out on a clipboard. However, the line at the beginning and end of the period can be quite long. Does anyone know of a system that would allow the students to scan their barcoded IDs and have the name, date and time be automatically logged? For those of us in larger buildings (I have 2400+ students) this would be a great tool for data collection as well as student management. If anyone has any ideas, shoot them to me and I'll post a HIT. Thanks!
