Colleagues -

I am seeing a great need for greater librarian
participation at administrative and subject area
meetings and conferences.

We should be seeking out spots as presenters, workshop
coordinators, poster sessions, and manning booths in
the vendor/association areas.

There are 2 teachers at my school who are active in
their local subject area organizations and I always
offer our services when they talk about programs for
meetings.

The role of special area personnel should have a
prominent place in admin. track coursework as well.

Tell your principal that the next time he/she is
responsible for a program, you would be glad to
arrange something.
