I guess you are referring to "effing". (At least he didn't say the "F" word.)I guess if I were reading the book aloud, which I wouldn't, I'd eliminate the word, but I wasn't offended, no. I did feel that the book was much darker than the other 4. I heard a reviewer comment that the 4th book was "grisly" and this book less so. There is no graphic violence but OOP is darker in tone than the others, I felt. But, (no spoiler) lots of questions are answered for Harry and for the reader while other questions are raised. I did think there was lots of humor also, though. Gotta love those Weasley twins!
