Of all the ideas mentioned so far I like the on-line conference idea best. The background papers would be an excellent resource, and we would all be communicating by the means that is already most familiar to us--virtually. It would also mean that everyone in the group whether they are in Australia, Virginia, California, or wherever could have an equal chance to participate. There was about a ream of pre-posted background papers... we printed them off! Participants read these before the scheduled sessions. If I was not available to take part in a discussion, I could read the transcript later. There was a registration fee but this was minimal compared to any real life event of similar depth and variety. If you havent MOOed yet, then it is an experience not to be missed! I hope you are able to follow this up Peter..
