Oprah free books and ALA organizational members

Colleagues,

This bothers me.  Libraries that can afford to have an organizational
membership are probably the least likely to need free books.  How many
school libraries have organizational memberships?

There were 6000 school libraries that applied for the Laura Bush Foundation
grants.  I would think that school libraries should have priority for
receiving free Oprah books if they were appropriate for the school's
students.

Just my humble opinion.
