The Weed of the Month topic for March 2003 is Geography!

You’ve seen it in the newspapers and you’ve heard it on the news: many
students in the United States today lack basic knowledge of geography.
Reports from various sources point out the inability of too many of our
students to find their own state on a U.S. map or locate a major world
feature such as the Persian Gulf. In today's global world, students must
become more knowledgeable about geography. Can your collection give them
current information in an attractive format?

For specific criteria, Dewey numbers to check, suggested titles to weed,
and titles to consider for purchase, for this part of the school library
