So, LM_NETTER's, I just read about threedegrees.com, which makes instant message seem like small potatoes. I haven't seen it here yet, but I expect to soon. Are any of you dealing with this yet? How has it impacted your network? For those who haven't heard of it yet, this is a Microsoft service currently in beta testing - you can be a tester simply by going to the website and downloading the beta version. It's a program written by folks under 25 aimed at the 13-24 age group (dubbed NetGen). It allows groups of up to 10 to chat, share music, and pictures. I read about it in the Feb. 24 issue of Newsweek. It sounds very cool and I might use it at home, but I'm afraid it's going to be a problem at school. I figure there will be to impacts - it will be a time waster for kids at school and network performance will suffer because kids will be uploading and streaming music.
