We use a Zip drive and backup to a different Zip disk each day of the week
PLUS have another that we backup to and take home weekly. (that's 6
different backups) This way if there's a problem and one or 2 Zip disks are
corrupt, there's still a chance that one of the others will have what we
need minus the transactions of one or 2 days.

Some people add additional ones monthly.

We also have a backup file server that until it's needed as such, doubles
as a workstation. This way, if the server goes down, not only did I not
lose all my data, but I can immediately have something up and running to
continue library services until the main server can be repaired.

You could also have a second drive in your server that automatically
duplicates everything that is happening on the server so that in case of a
crash, you could just switch the cables and be up and running without
losing anything.

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a
listening ear, an honest compliment on the smallest amount of caring - all
of which have the potential to turn a life
around
