Hi everyone,
I am encountering a problem at one of my libraries. I am split between two
elementary schools. There is a para-professional at both schools when I am
not there. My principal (at the recommendation of the para) at one school
has decided that on the days I am not there, teachers and designated third,
fourth, and fifth grade students WILL be allowed to come to the library and
check out their own materials. The para is there, but she would rather not
be disturbed with this when she is working with students in the library. I
am very much against this, but I seem to have lost the battle.
I would really like to know if anyone else allows their elementary students
access to the circulation computer.
        Thanks for the input!
