TARGET: looking for chidren's book (NYS, war)

Our principal is trying to remember the name of a children's book she used
in the classroom. It dealt with nuclear war, took place in New York State
(maybe around Ithaca), and she thought the title was Z or something else
very short.

Any ideas? Please respond directly to me, as my LM_NET mail is not coming
