Here in Australia we have a School Cataloguing Service which is marvellous timesaver as records are downloaded from the Internet. However a few of us are worried that it is using the subject heading "American Indian". What is the preferred term now? I changed to "Native American" in a previous school. One person has suggested "Amerindian". Your advice appreciated.
