Target: Read aloud for 3-4-5 ESL class

My ESL teacher is looking for a read aloud for one of her classes-- she wants 
something that will really hook their attention, as she would probably only read a 
chapter or so a week.  She was looking for something that had either a problem to 
solve or a mystery.  Any suggestions?
