GEN:Virtual Author visits

There has been some recent discussions about using videoconferencing
equipment and virtual author visits. I found this on another list:

In response to the request for a young author program I have 3 local

authors that do a wonderful job working with students in the

videoconference format.  We have used them for many grade levels
and they

are very interactive and terrific.



The program fee they charge is $ 600.  for an 80 minute
program.  They have

done multiple sites - up to three sites at a time.  ( all sites
would

obviously have to be the same grade level and a maximum of 25 students
per

site if there are three).

The Three Author program will be facilitated through our bridge and

distance learning room here at Monroe # 1 BOCES so be sure to include me
in

any requests so we can work with Carol to check dates, times, etc.
