it's saturday and i'm trying to upgrade AR 5.12 to AR 6.x. on a W2K server
that shares the data to various W2k, W9.x machines. i'm getting the
following error messages after i copy the UpdateW (no voice) folder into the
AccReadr folder then try to run Ar management:
"An error has occurred in your application. If you choose Ignore, you should
save your work in a new file. If you choose Close, your application will
terminate."
if i choose Ignore:
"WUPDATE caused a GPF in module WUPDATE.EXE at 001:0254. Choose close.
WUPDATE will close."
i've tried to open AR management on two different Windows (2K and 98) and
get the same error messages.
i'm pretty sure i've got all the sharing, permissions, etc. set correctly on
our W2k server.
if you can help, i'd appreciate it. otherwise, i'll call Renlearn monday.
