I sent out a target question regarding Storyteller Finley Stewart. He will be in Hawaii in March of 2004, and I asked the list if anyone had heard of him. Just FYI -- I received over 30 reponses with overwhelming praise of his talents. It has made my decision easier -- and I thank all of you who took the time to reply. There is no way I can include all the responses, so here are a few: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Finley is WONDERFUL!!! The teachers all ask when I am going to have him back. He is a little irreverent, but the staff and kids love him. He is funny and fast paced and has an Amazing repertoire of stories. I didn't hear one repeated all day. ø¤º°`°º¤ø,,,,ø¤º°`°º¤ø,,,ø Christe Hancock, Library Media Specialist XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Book Finley if you have a chance! He is GREAT!!I have heard him tell for adults and children and he is superb. ...He was my choice for a performance in our school in January this year. Onedelightful thing he does with the younger ones is to talk about fairy tales being in the 398.2 section of the library. He makes his voice rise about 5 notes higher when he says ".2" the kids loved it and still repeat thenumber in his manner when they go to the shelves. I highly endorse him for a performance!Mary Ludwick, Librarian XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Oh my, YES. Finley is absolutely wonderful. He's been at our Primary,Intermediate, Middle, and High Schools every year over the past 8-10years and I've never heard him tell the same story over again. -- Melissa Davis Librarian XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX He is well known and EXCELLENT. Barbara Stein Martin, SLIS/University of North Texas.
