LM_NET Archive

Dear LM_NET,

Recently I have receiving notification from some AOL members who have
blocked the receipt of the mail of others who happen to be LM_NET members.
This is a new occurrence.

While this approach to mail control may work just fine for personal and
business mail, it results in the LM_NET administrative mailbox receiving a
notification that an LM_NET posting was rejected. Our policy regarding
"bounced" mail for any reason is to drop the address that iniitiates a
rejection.

In other words, if you are rejecting mail back to LM_NET Administration
(e.g., me), we will drop you from LM_NET. You will be able to resubscribe,
so no problem in that regard.

This is done because we just aren't able to keep up with sorting through
the bounced mail. Each day several people are dropped for bounced mail
flooding into our administration mailbox. This is mostly due to the fact
that they have allowed their mailbox to become full. And then their e-mail
service rejects delivery, and sends it back to LM_NET Administration (me).

Thanks for your support of lM_NET!
