A young lady came to my circulation desk with a handful of Lois Duncan =
books. When I asked if she was a big fan, she replied that really was =
and that she'd been wanting to read these in middle school but since =
they weren't on the AR list, and didn't earn her points, she (and her =
friends) wouldn't read them. Now that she was in the high school, where =
we didn't use AR, she was glad to be "able" to read all the books she =
wanted. Not an editorial comment - just reporting the facts! ^_^
