My curiousity is killing me and I have exhausted all of the sources in this small 
library.  I'm trying to find out where sorbet (the dish not the word) originated.  
All I have been able to find is a dictionary defination stating where the word 
comes from.  Am I to assume that the French or Italians originally created sorbet 
since the word comes from the French/Italian word sorbetto?  Any and all help will 
be greatly appreciated.
