TARGET: Books/Stories/Poems with Journey Theme for Retreat

Hi, Folks -

A new principal in our district has asked me to suggest a piece of
literature to use during a summer retreat for staff of the new middle
school she will be opening next year. The theme of the retreat will be
"The Road to Excellence". She requested a piece of literature about
taking a journey and mentioned "The Wizard of Oz" as an example. I would
appreciate any poems, stories, or books (picture and chapter) that you
might suggest along these lines. Thanks.
