LM_NET Archive



She will need to determine what she most values as an
educator. The role of the teacher-librarian (TL) is
stressful but for different reasons, not the least of
which is lacking authority or position power. If she
values collaboration and partnerhsips more than
authority that won't be an issue. If she values most
the involvement with curriculum and working as a
leader in the school, she will enjoy the position as
TL. However, if her motivation is to simply jump from
one unhappy situation to another, without analyzing
her reasons, she could be just as unhappy as a school
librarian.
