My school district administrators are trying take away our days at the end of the school year to do inventory, ordering, weeding, etc. At present all the libraries in my district are allowed to close ten school days before the end of school. We do not get paid to work any extra days in the summer. The problem arose at the elementary level because the teachers complained so much due to the loss of their free period. I would like to know what other school libraries do. Are you given days to close while school is in session and/or do you get paid for extra days during the summer? Jeannie Ammon, Librarian G.W.
