This has been an interesting thread.  Speaking for myself alone, I am =
not against the Uncle Remus storiies.  They are wonderful folklore type =
stories our of the oral tradition of part of our collective culture.  =
What I object to is what Disney chose to do with the material.  I often =
object to the" Disney-ization" of some of my favortie stories. =
Winnie-the-Pooh is one such. Long ago, for example, one could buy =
stuffed animals based on the Shephard drawings.  Now, one only sees the =
garish Disney version, because they bought the rights. Almost aways, =
they change things to suit themselves.  Aladdin is another example.  =
Sorry for the rant, but it's one of my "buttons."  And I agree, showing =
Song of the South is a copyright violation.
