Thank you all for the suggestions for screen magnification. Both Mac and Windows have a magnification option built in - on Mac it's called Close View in OS9 and below and is in Universal Access in OSX. I also received a few interesting links that I'm sending on for those of you who requested a posting. Cathy -------- The software used at CSB is JAWS for Windows http://www.freedomscientific.com/fs_products/software_jaws.asp for PCs only, unfortunately. In fact, we have PC's here primarily because most assistive technology is made for PCs, not MACs. A company called ALVA Access Group makes a screen reader for MACs - http://www.aagi.com/catalogue/ProductVersion.asp?SerieOSM (Home page: http://www.aagi.com/home.asp ) A good site for technology vendors for VI students is http://www.nyise.org/blind.htm - click on vendors specializing in technology. -- Cathy Rettberg, Library Tech, SJSU MLIS Student Brittan Acres Elementary School, San Carlos, CA 650-508-7307 crettberg@brittan.sancarlos.k12.ca.us =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
