I am of the belief that they are ALL important! They are all needed to =
mold well-balanced individuals. The problem is the budget won't stand =
for all of them. Whoever said that sports brings in the money - they are =
correct. We sometimes charge for Band competitions at the high schools, =
but no elementary I know of charges for an art show, a music concert, or =
a read-in! What isn't considered is that we don't pay to watch a math =
competition, a history fair, a science fair, or a spelling competition =
either! We need more balance, but until the 'powers that be' realize it =
takes ALL, we're stuck!
