GEN: End of the year music

I too am looking for songs along this line.  I am going to use mine to =
make
a CD for my daughter, so I'm going to include songs like Carol King's =
Child
of Mine, Jimmy Durante's Make Someone Happy, etc.

Both Mariah Carey and Enrique Iglesias sing a great song called Hero..

I'm looking for songs that express optimism (Put on a Happy Face, Lord I
Hope this day is good), loyalty, perseverance, faith.  Any suggestions =
would
be appreciated and I will post a hit!
