I had an idea a few weeks ago and now that it has all come together I = wanted to share it with you, although, I'm sure I'm not the first to = think of it. I wanted a way to organize my nonfiction so that my K-6 students could = find things easier and would make shelving go quicker. I looked at = catalogs for subject dividers with labels and many of these cost from = $2-$5 each. I found empty video cassette cases from Demco for 84 cents = each. I ordered 60 of them and printed out subject heading on bright = yellow paper. I printed things like Fairy Tales, Dinosaurs, Solar = System, etc.. along with their Dewey numbers. I put them on the shelves = and you can see them from across the room. They are working great! I just wanted to share this in case anyone else might be interested. Anne M.
