Target : Being proactive

I have a regular column in the Teacher-Librarian magazine, and my next piece
will be about the status of the librarian in the school - from my monitoring
of a number of international lists, we in Australia seem to have the best
deal!

But, as your school year draws to a close, you might like to take time to do
a little reflecting on what you have achieved, and I would really love it if
you could send me the single best thing that you did this year to up your
ante with either the staff, the kids, the parents or the administration or
everyone!  It can be big or little, as long as it was effective - I will
include the ideas in my column so that others who are still viewed as being
on the lowest educational rung can find something that they might be able to
use to improve their lot.
