Hi folks,

I work at a HS so I alway wonder if the notes I send home via US Mail ever
make it into the parent/guardians hands. I stopped holding report cards
because after making a big deal of it, spending hours and hours hounding the
kids and holding just the 16 worst offenders, those report cards were still
on my desk at the end of the next semester with the fines still not paid!!
Then I looked at the grades -- I should have threatened to hand deliver them
to the parent at work instead!!!

Basically I do what I can and try not to visiably mourn over the lost of
books I really liked!

"It is known that knowledge is power, and power is energy, and energy is
matter, and matter is mass, and therefore large accumulations of knowledge
distort time and space. This is why all bookshops look alike, and why all
second-hand bookshops seem so much larger on the inside - and why all
libraries, everywhere, are connected"
The Science of Discword, by Terry Pratchett, Ian Stewart & Jack
Cohen
