Thanks to everyone for sending on the titles/authors.
Of the ones I hadn't heard of but have since checked out, I'd say that
T*Witches and Cirque du Freak are better suited for middle school than high
school. Laurel Hamilton is definitely an adult author.

Here is the list:
Annette Klause -- Blood and Chocolate, The Silver Kiss
Amelia Atwater-Rhodes -- In the forests of the night, Demon in my view,
Shatttered mirror, Midnight Predator
anything by Vivian Vande Velde--lots of vampires, witches and what have you.
Circle of Three series by Isobel Bird
Huff - Blood Price, etc.... or Summon the Keeper (horrow/Humor --
interesting combo)
Laurell Hamilton - Anita Blake series (gets sexually graphic after about the
4th book so recommend accordingly)
Margaret Mahy's The Changeover
Frank Peretti Piercing the Darkness, Nightmare Academy , etc (Christian
fiction)

There's a whole series of books based on _Charmed_ (the TV show).

Cirque du Freak -- Our students are crazy about the Cirque du Freak series
by Darren Shan. I have to admit I've read them all myself. There have been 5
books published here in the states (something like 14 in UK). The next one
is due in August.

T*Witches, by H. B. Gilmour and Randi Reisfeld. T*Witches... has
everything - identical twins separated at birth, a nasty and tremendously
powerful warlock, and good witches and warlocks, along with spells, romance,
and adventure. There are seven books out in the series already.
