Does anyone develop some ideas to assist parents in motivating a
teenager to read during the summer? We have students for whom reading
is very difficult and while we can and do give out lists of books that
might be accessible to them, we just haven't come up with a list of
activities that a parent can do with a middle school student.

Maybe that's not possible? But aside from "encourage your child to
find the prices of sale items in the newspaper" , how can parents assist
middle schoolers in reading a suggested book?

Many thanks
