I recently had a middle school reading teacher ask me for a form or letter that might be sent home for parental signatures indicating permission for a student to participate in the reading of a book that contained "mature" themes. I believe this teacher was trying to protect herself and would therefore offer an alternate book for those students whose parents declined their child's participation. =20 =20 Are any of you using such an item for any materials you may use in the classroom? I think similar permissions have been requested for viewing certain videos or movies. =20 Thanks for any suggestions or help with this. =20 Leola A.
