REPORT SAYS FAR-RIGHT SITES TRIPLE IN THE LAST FOUR YEARS
A new report by Germany's family ministry says that the
number of far-right extremist websites has tripled in the
past four years. The ministry says that there are now more
than 1000 neo-Nazi websites in Germany which are being used
to coordinate demonstrations and engage in local
recruitment.

In this article is the following statement:

"To attract young people, the sites are using a mix of professional
programming and layouts that resemble those of more mainstream media to
present their radical spin on a number of current events, such as the war in
Iraq or the German government's proposed overhaul of the social system.

Neo-Nazis are also making sure Web sites with their version of World War
II-era history are registered with major search engines, and presented in
such a way that school children doing research for a project will come
across them and have a hard time differentiating them from sites offering
legitimate historical information."

Seems like a good article to include in lessons about media literacy.
