Hi LM_Netters, A young man, just graduated from college is seriously considering librarianship for a career. He is looking for some advice on what to expect in the field today, so I am asking for advice from the LM_Net community. What different types of librarianship are possible today? (So many things are different about the field since I first started a million years ago.) In view of those differences, should he go for a technology degree rather than a library degree? Any thoughts gratefully received. Please reply to my work email address.
