HIT: Principal Appreciation Day Gift

Hello Colleagues-

Last week I wrote in requesting suggestions for a good book to use as a =
Principal Appreciation Day gift.  The books that I had thought of were:

THE PRINCIPAL FROM THE BLACK LAGOON by Thaler
THE FROG PRINCIPAL by Calmenson
THE PRINCIPAL'S NEW CLOTHES by Calmenson

Suggested books were:
A FINE, FINE SCHOOL by Creech
MR. TANEN'S TIES by Cocca-Leffler
MR. TANEN'S TIE TROUBLE by Cocca-Leffler
THOMAS' SNOWSUIT by Munsch

A few of the people responding wanted to know the date for Principal =
Appreciation Day.  I do not think this day is celebrated nationally.  In =
Hampton City Schools, it was held on Wednesday, May 14.  At my school we =
celebrated a day earlier, on May 13.  This was a special recognition =
because my principal, Mrs. Melody McCloud, was selected as Virginia's =
National Distinguished Principal of the year. =20
