HI friends: Last night my ex-husband was telling me that Gwinnett County is still desperate for teachers and that he has read in the paper that the schools there are quite good. Currently, things in my district here are getting pretty bad in many ways and I'm not even sure I'll have a job in the future. Can anyone out there fill me in on how things are in Gwinnett? I know the area well, but not the schools. It does seem like I've seen postings or news indicating that Georgia schools aren't in such great shape financially and I wonder if Media Specialists are any more valued there than in other places. Are there LMS openings in Gwinnett and, if so, would you recommend the district as a good place to work? Finally, does the district pay well enough to support a family in that expensive area? I'd welcome any input anyone can send my way.
