GEN: Why LM_NET was down

I just heard from our wonderful support team at Syracuse University about
what happened, and thought I would share it with you. We get wonderful
support from these folks, and they are so "unsung". Let us quietly
appreciate these very supportive folks.

There was a hard drive failure on LISTSERV Friday evening.
It took the tech staff until some time Sunday to get the
drive replaced and all of the data recovered from the failed
drive.  They could have restored from a backup but that would
have resulted in data that was several hours out of date.
