2. We are doing our RIF / Coca-Cola Kick-off event this next Thursday...we=
decided to do "Hats Off to Reading" using The Cat in the Hat because of =
the same colors as Coke, and we'll be giving out tickets to the "Cat in t=
he Hat" Movie....I think it would be fine to do whatever theme you wish.
3. Our reading event starts next week and it is called Reading Takes You P=
laces. Here is the events as I remember them. First we have a reading tra=
in - everyone goes out in the hallway and reads for 20 minutes. The next =
day in the afternoon we have guest readers in all of the classrooms - par=
ents, community members, other teachers. The next day we have the big swi=
tch - classes switch teachers for a period and read stories. We end the e=
vent with author visit. Our event really isn't a week, but it is fun. Hop=
