The Yahoo Toolbar has a similar feature.  It works great too.  This
weekend, I could hear when it blocked a popup, but they never
interrupted me.

I was not sure if you all knew about this.  Our techs
put it on my library machines.  It is a toolbar that
you download from Google.  It puts Google on the
toolbar for searches, but also has a popup blocker
also.  It works like a dream and of course it is
free!!
It also keeps track of how many popups it blocks just
for the fun of it.

Go to Google.com
Click on Services and tools
Scroll down to Google Toolbar and download it
Install it.
