Dear LM_Netters, There is a thriving used book business online where books are purchased by dealers who attend library booksales. Or fund raising used booksales, perhaps put on by a Lion's club or a church group. To check out booksales in your area, go to http://book-sales-in-america.com. If your books are in good condition, donate them to a booksale! Or take a peek on bookfinder.com to see if they are worth anything. I have been going to used booksales for years to supplement my book budget for my High School library. Then I slowly morphed into a book dealer myself and sell on half.com and Amazon. I also purchase for my library on these sites and I have been able to fill in books in series in my library that are out of print for very little money. Of course I have to argue for reimbursement from my front office, but I have them about worn down by now. Books in poor condition, dirty or torn should be thrown away, but others might well have use in the used book trade. Best Wishes, Sandy Sandra Guest Librarian Sunapee Middle High School Sunapee, NH 03782 http://www.sunapee.k12.nh.us =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
