We offer some of our used books to teachers, sell some to the kids for =
25 -50 cents each, to raise money (books that are just shabby or have =
loose pages and so on) - they're only allowed to buy them if they have =
no overdues and are paid up on fines, so it's a motivator more than a =
money thing, but still...
The others we take to a local used bookstore that gives us credit for =
what they take, which we can use for more books for library, for sale, =
for teacher prizes, and so on. Rejects there go to Salvation Army. =
(Anything really bad - i.e. someday we'll walk on moon - goes directly =
to the trash. Our janitor takes out whatever we bag and set outside our =
door, no questions asked. He's too busy to mind anyone else's business!)
