LM_NET Archive

Hi!

I'm returning to the fountain of knowledge for some help. I've looked in the LM
archives and didn't
find any lists of good non-fiction titles. When I search the Internet I get trade
books to purchase
that tell how to do circles and may include some book titles.

The big push is for teachers to use non-fiction books in their literature circles
in our district. Will
some of you who have been using non-fiction be able to suggest some titles that
have been successful
with your students?

Our teachers are talking about buying classroom sets of some non-fiction titles.
Others
would like to buy 30 copies in groups of 5 titles to give the students some choice.

What great titles would get their first non-fiction lit circles off to a successful
start? Do you have
any other suggestions in the realm of non-fiction lit circles? I'm looking at all
three grade levels:
6-7-8.

Thanks in advance for your help. I will post a hit if I get a group of good
responses
so you don't need
to email and ask me to share it. I will gladly do it!
