This is a work of historical fiction centered around Helen of Troy. The
main character, Anaxandra ends up in Sparta after some wanderings,
on a false pretense and struggles with Helen of Troy (after she has run
away with Paris) over this deception.  The love of Paris and Helen
throws Sparta and Troy into war and Anaxandra must rediscover who
she is and what her life means to her and the people around her.  It is
nice having historical fiction centered on this era but this 263 page
book gets slow at times.
