TAR: fiction genre lesson ideas

Help!  I would love any help you all can come up with here!  I need a
good lesson for teaching fiction genres to sixth graders.  This is a
great class- all boys, all love to read.  When they chose their books on
Monday, they all asked for books that were long, "so they wouldn't be
over to quick".  How great is that??
