SEC: Target: 9th grade independent reading lists

Some parents have requested a suggested independent reading list for standard
level 9th grade English classes.  Do any of your schools have lists they use?
 Do any of you have suggestions of "must read" books for 9th graders?
Obviously, I know the classics but want to know what current fiction you would
include.
